ABOUT BRIDGET

A clinician who believes deeply in your capacity to grow.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a background in competitive running and a genuine passion for helping people get unstuck through compassionate, evidence-based work that goes the distance.

I started this practice because I want to see people thrive. That sounds simple, but the path there is rarely straightforward. It requires honesty, patience, a willingness to sit in discomfort, and, most importantly, hope. I'm a believer in hope: the belief that change is genuinely possible, and that the work required to get there is worth doing.

My background as a competitive runner shapes how I work. I understand what it means to push hard, to define yourself by your performance, to struggle with the gap between who you are and whom you think you should be. I bring that understanding into the room,  whether you're an athlete or not. The psychological patterns of high-achievers, perfectionists, and people who hold themselves to relentless standards show up across every walk of life. We're the ones who are always "fine," but the reality is that we are not always fine. Sometimes we need support, even if it's difficult to ask for.

My Clinical Approach

First and foremost, I am a human-centered therapist, and I will meet you where you are. True change grows from a strong therapeutic rapport and relationship. I feel immense gratitude for the work we will do together.

In terms of modalities, I draw primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), alongside sport psychology frameworks for clients navigating performance contexts. What these approaches share is a focus on psychological flexibility, or the ability to move toward what matters most, even when it's hard, and even when your mind is coming up with every reason not to.

I don't believe therapy is about feeling better after every session. Sometimes feeling difficult things is exactly the work we need to be doing. What I do believe is that people who show up consistently, honestly, and with a willingness to examine their lives will grow from this work and develop a relationship with themselves that feels values-aligned and purposeful.

Who I Work With

I work with adolescents (15+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, athletic identity, burnout, disordered eating, life transitions, and the complexity of building a life that feels meaningful. My clients range from elite athletes to people who have never competed in sports - what they share is a readiness to do something different.

CLINICAL FRAMEWORKS

How the work is grounded

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

ACT builds psychological flexibility — the ability to stay present, engage fully with your values, and take meaningful action even when your mind is generating every reason not to.

Radically Open DBT

RO-DBT is designed for overcontrolled patterns — perfectionism, rigidity, emotional masking, and social disconnection. It teaches openness as a skill rather than a liability.

Sport Psychology

For athletes: evidence-based mental performance work grounded in the science of how minds work under pressure, not generic motivation tactics or toxic positivity.
